The New Year is traditionally a time of renewal. New Year’s resolutions have a long history and serve to refocus our efforts in being the best possible version of ourselves that we can be. Turning over a new leaf and starting fresh describe the process of making any changes that are wanted or needed to be more successful and satisfied in life.
The most popular New Year’s resolutions are probably some version of diet and exercise programs. While getting into shape is always great advice don’t overlook this prime opportunity to revise and update your school success plan. Take a moment to reflect on actions and outcomes of the past semester. Are you still giving your student the support they need to succeed? What is working? What can you do more of or do differently?
Revise and update your school success plan to incorporate any changes needed or wanted to keep your student on the path to school success. The New Year is the ideal time to get it right, But remember that the most important New Year’s resolution of all is to resolve to keep your New Year’s resolutions.
