It’s Time For Some Good Old Fashioned Holiday Fun

At MOSH there are several seasonal planetarium programs to choose from including a Season of Light, The Alien Who Stole Christmas, and a Laser Holiday Cosmic Concert.

For light enthusiasts there are many events and activities all over town such as Dressing of the Palms in Vilano Beach, JAX Illuminations at the Morocco Shrine Center in Jacksonville, and Deck the Chairs in Jax Beach. In addition, World Golf Village and Nocatee both host annual Menorah Lighting events. The Winterfest is up and running at Adventure Landing and features light displays, an ice slide, ice skating and and a visit with Santa. St. Augustine’s annual Nights of Lights is underway as well as the Red Train Tour at Ripley’s Museum.

For book lovers, Barnes and Noble on San Jose is holding a holiday classics story time with all time favorites such as ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. In addition, Jacksonville Public Library has many activities for kids of all ages at branches all over town. Go ahead take a break from the shopping crowds and treat your family to some good old fashioned fun.
